Complex Exam for Foreign Nationals Who Apply for Work Licence/Permit, Temporary/Permanent Residence Permit

From January 1st, 2015, all foreign nationals must confirm their Russian Language proficiency, knowledge of Russian history and the basics of RF laws when applying for work licence (work permit), temporary/permanent residence permit. Detailed Information on Exam Requirements.

Russian Language Test Centre organizes complex exams on the Russian Language, Russian History and Basics of RF Laws for foreign nationals and stateless persons.

Prior to the test, the centre organizes pre-exam instruction, that is aimed at explaining the key structure of the exam, signing a services contract with the exam applicants, and setting the date of the exam.

The complex exam includes 7 sub-tests:

  • sub-test “Vocabulary. Grammar”,
  • sub-test “Writing”,
  • sub-test “Reading”,
  • sub-test “Listening”,
  • sub-test “Speaking”,
  • sub-test “Russian History”,
  • sub-test “Basics of RF Laws”.

Complex exam fee for foreign nationals applying for work licence (work permit) - 5,000 roubles.

Complex exam fee for foreign nationals applying for temporary rsidence permit, permanent residence) - 5,400 roubles.

Complex exam fee for residents of Donetsk Peoples’ Republic, Lugansk Peoples’ Republic - 2,500 roubles (work licence), 2,800 roubles (temporary residence permit, permanent residence permit).

To pass the complex exam the applicant should have the following results:

Exam applicants, who successfully completed the complex exam, are issued state certificates on Russian Language proficiency, knowledge of Russian history and basics of RF laws, which are required for obtaining the temporary residence permit, work licence, permanent residence permit.

The certificates are issued within 10-14 days from the day of the exam.

Fee-based test preparation courses in the Russian Language are organized on demand. Course duration - from 1 week to 3 months.
