On April 27, 2017 Penza State University received the delegation of two high-ranking commanders and six cadets from Military Technical University in Egypt. The honoured guests were welcomed in accordance with the Russian traditions. The atmosphere was warm and friendly thanks to PSU ensemble of folk songs “Dobrye lyudi” (“Kind people”).

From 23 to 28 April 2017 foreign guests got acquainted with our city. Penza branch of A.V. Khrulyov Military Academy of Logistics and Maintenance Support, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, provided the extensive entertainment programme for the representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt. PSU was a stage in the programme of their visit.

“We will acquaint our guests with the university, its information and exhibition centre, and business incubator. We will show them all the facilities, which are provided for students. The guests will also have an opportunity to communicate with their compatriots studying in PSU,” the representatives of PSU Culture Centre noted.

The event continued in the meeting room where the delegates were told about the university, its educational programmes, learning opportunities and participation of PSU students and staff in international educational programmes and projects. The participation in Erasmus+ programmes was of great interest to foreign guests.

“We are pleased to communicate with the delegates, to describe our educational programmes and to present our recent innovations in the business incubator. It is encouraging that the representatives of the Egyptian delegation are interested in training students in the faculties of Polytechnic Institute. They also pay special attention to practical application of knowledge in the enterprises of our city,” emphasised Sergei M. Vasin, Vice Rector for International Affairs.

The meeting was also attended by PSU Medical Institute students from Egypt. They shared their impressions of studying in PSU with their fellows. It even turned out that some of students and delegates came from the same city.

“It is a pleasure to meet the compatriots while being abroad. Moreover it is hoped that our students will train not only for medicine, but also for engineering,” stressed Kassem Mohamed, PSU Medical Institute student.
