EURAS Conference, Istanbul

May, 9th -10th, 2013. The first conference on higher education establishments cooperation under the aegis of Eurasian Universities Union took place in Aydin University, Istanbul, Turkey. Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) is a nonprofit international organization which develops and maintains cooperation between more than 60 universities of Europe, Asia and Middle East. Moreover, EURAS contributes to educational standards improvement.

The objective of the conference was to gather together the representatives of national boards of education and higher educational establishments from Eurasian countries and Turkey in order to exchange information concerning the latest trends in the regional and world higher education.

The representatives of Penza State University and Penza State Technological Academy took part in the conference representing the Penza Region. They shared their experience in creating regional educational consortium uniting four higher educational establishments and six colleges. This cluster approach helps maintain three-level system of academic mobility in the region and in the whole country, contributes to developing partner links and increasing education services export. On results of the conference the Penza Region representatives were awarded a diploma.
