Timo Buchholz, a German student, who has never been to Russia before, is going to study for a semester at two faculties. He will be studying German at the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature, geography at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Alongside his special subjects Timo will be battling with difficulties of the Russian language. Let’s wish him luck as he’s going to have quite a busy time and take traditional exams at the end of the course.

Timo Buchholz comes from the German city of Flensburg. His academic visit is part of productive exchange relations with this city. Over the last two years the university invited professor Günter Helmes, graduate students Christian Tonko and Maik Friedrichsen. The major congress “Flensburg-Penza” took place in June this year. There were also three visits of Russian delegation to Flensburg, and two Russian students of the Translation department studied in Flensburg for a semester. These two-year relationships have been quite productive and they are gradually strengthening.
