UNIVERSITY WELCOMES A DELEGATION FROM CHINA18.09.2013 14:57
16th September, 2013. Penza State University welcomed an official delegation from Gansu Province, China. The delegation included: Yu Qianyin, Vice-Governor of Gansu’s government, Chan Wayzhun, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shao Ming, Minister of Culture, Din Zhuzyun, Deputy Director of the Institute of Commerce in Lanzhou, Zhao Zyun, Deputy Head of the Department of Russian Cooperation at the Department of Foreign Affairs. The delegation arrived in Penza on September 13th and met with heads of Penza government. At the university the guests were greeted by Viktor Meshcheryakov, First Vice-Rector, who noted that among more than 700 foreign students 53 are from China. Olga Mescheryakova, Director of the Institute of International Cooperation described remarkable academic success of Chinese students. Yuri Mazei, Vice-Rector for International Affairs made a report on key internationalization concepts of the university, delineating basic strategies, tasks and perspectives. The students who were present at the meeting described their studies at the university, graduate student LyanLibin talked about her love for the city, the university and students she made friends with. At the round-table discussion Chinese and Russian parties discussed mutual interests and cooperation in science and education. |
