EU Study Weeks, Nizhny Novgorod Call for applications

11th - 13th of October, 2013, Nizhny Novgorod will hold EU Study Weeks, organized by The Delegation of the European Union to Russia.

EU Study Weeks project was launched in 1988, since then more than 40 EU Study Weeks have been organized in Russia. They are directed at students, post-graduate students and teachers who are interested in European politics, history of European integration and want to get first-hand information on the European Union directly from EU officials, European and Russian experts.

30 participants will be chosen on a competitive basis. These will be students of the Volga Federal District: Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk oblasts, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Mari-El Republic, the Republic of Tatarstan, Mordovia, Udmurt and Chuvash Republics.

Lectures and interactive activities are conducted by Russian and European officials and diplomats as well as specialists from different fields: academia, civil society, the business sector, and the media.

    

All living costs, participation and cultural events are paid by The Delegation of the European Union to Russia.

Note, that the majority of lectures and discussions will be held in English, so sufficient knowledge of English is a must for participants.
