Nordsee Academie held language courses from the 4th till 22nd of August in the city of Leck, not far from Flensburg. Thanks to the partnership between the cities of Penza and Flensburg two students of the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature (Milokhova Olesya, Toptygina Olga) , and a translator from the Institute of International Cooperation (Valieva Regina) had an opportunity to attend the courses this year.
The course programme was organized so well, that it enabled the participators to combine studies with trips to other cities: Tonder, Copenhagen, Flensburg, and Kiel. The main aim of the course was to acquaint the participators with the German culture, to present them the history of the European Union and its current work and to tell them about the relations between Germany and Denmark (past and present). On the 19th of August seventeen participators from Iceland, Morocco, France, Great Britain, Poland, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Russia presented their countries at the International party. Sponsors, reporters and guests noted that there was a friendly atmosphere at the party. Accompanied by the Swede Jonas Magnusson, all the quests sang the hymn of Europe. The participators enjoyed the beautiful nature, competent teachers, and made a lot of new friends in Leck.
It is necessary to note that the students of German have had such an opportunity for three years within the framework of Penza-Flensburg Friendship Society, which is coordinated by Peter Lorenzen (Flensburg) and Tatyana Razuvaeva (Head of Department “German and Methods of Teaching German”, Penza). The next project of this Society is Flensburg-Penza Congress, which will be held in September in Germany and which will be attended by PSU representatives.
