Participants of the 5th Student Forum “Dialogue of Cultures” to Translate the Text of High Relief Plaque Commemorating Ivan Mozzhukhin into 20 World Languages

 Delegates of the forum “Dialogue of Cultures” which will be held on 18-19 May, 2016 at Penza State University will take part in the ceremony of opening of the high relief plaque commemorating the distinguished silent film actor Ivan Ilyich Mozzhukhin.

The ceremony will take place in Penza on May 19 at 4 p.m. at 5,Volodarskogo Street. The forum participants will translate into more than 20 world languages the text from I.I. Mozzhukhin  memorial plaque: “The outstanding actor of the Russian and world silent film Ivan Ilyich Mozzhukhin (1889-1939) attended the 2nd male gymnasium in this building from 1899 to 1907”. The delegates of the forum “Dialogue of Cultures” will put the translation under the hashtags#theyearofrussiancinema#theyearofcinema#Mozzhukhin#Mosjoukine# Penza together with the photo of the high relief plaque in their accounts in social networks.

“To let the whole world learn about the cultural activity within the framework of the Year of the Russian Cinema we will ask the forum delegates and Penza State University students to cover this event. I’m sure that the personality of our compatriot, who is famous all over the world, is worth it”, remarked Oleg Yagov, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology of Penza State University.
