On November, 17, on  International Students’ Solidarity Day, the Concert Hall of PSU (Building 5) hosted the Miss World beauty contest where the participants from Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan, India, Nigeria, Mali, China and Azerbaijan competed for the title of Beauty Queen. The contest of beauty, grace and talent “Miss World Folk Queen” gathered 14 participants from eight countries.

The contest organizers are: Institute of International Cooperation, Office for Education and Social Work of PSU, International Students’ Organization of the Penza Region, Labour Union of students and post-graduate students of PSU.

“The event was of a very high level. Undoubtedly, the most interesting part of our contest is a defile in national costumes, it was very spectacular. The self-presentation contest, where the girls introduced themselves and the country they are from, was also of great interest. The events of such kind give the students the opportunity to become the ambassadors of peace. With their grace, beauty, and talent the girls demonstrated that all the countries can and should live in harmony and friendship”, said S.M.Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, PSU.
