T.G. Skorokhodova, Professor, represented PSU at V International Symposium in Poland

 From 7th to 9th of November, 2016, Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) hosted V International Krakow Symposium in religion research “Understanding and interpreting in religion studies”.

This year the symposium was dedicated to the memory of Walter Burkert (1937-2015), a linguist and historian, a scholar of Ancient Greek cults and mythology. Religious scholars from the USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Russia and other countries took part in the international symposium.

T.G. Skorokhodova, Professor at the Department of Theory and Practice of Social Work, the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Sciences, represented Penza State University at this scientific forum.

Her report “Phenomena of religious consciousness in Neovedism: understanding in research of the Bengali Renaissance philosophical ideas” in the section of “Light from the East” attracted much of the audience’s interest.
