T.V. Dubrovskaya, Head of “The English Language” Department, gave guest lectures in Italy

 Tatyana Viktorovna Dubrovskaya, Doctor of Philology, Head of “The English Language” Department, delivered guest lectures in two universities in the south of Italy.

On November 14th and 15th, 2016 she presented the results of her research on legal linguistics to the students at the Law School in the University of Foggia.

The lectures called “Communicative competence in legal professional practice” and “National and cultural specific of Russian and English legal discourse” were attended by approximately 300 students of the university.

Tatyana V. Dubrovskaya was invited to the university by Christopher Williams, Professor of English at the Law School of the university, a prominent scientist in legal linguistics. Following the lectures Tatyana V. Dubrovskaya met Aldo Ligustro, Dean of the Law School, and Maurizio Ricci, Rector of the university, to discuss the prospects of cooperation between The University of Foggia and PSU.

The Rector of the University of Foggia signed a framework treaty on cooperation with PSU. During the visit to the international division of the university the preliminary agreement on the implementation of mobility programmes was reached.

On November 17th, 2016 Tatyana V. Dubrovskaya gave a lecture on “Development of international relations in the Russian foreign policy and media discourse” in the University of Bari, where she addressed the students of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations. The lecture was arranged by Professor Deniz Milicia. Antonio Uricchio, Rector of the University of Bari, attended the lecture and expressed the hope that cooperation would continue to develop.
