PSU is listed in GreenMetric World University Ranking

 Penza State University is among the top world HEIs that are eager to contribute to improving the environmental conditions and environmental safety by means of integrating the latest scientific and technological achievements into the strategy of campus energy efficiency and in the ecosystem of the city, region and country. Penza State University was ranked 396 in the list. The number of HEIs taking part in this league table has increased from 407 to 516 universities from around the world that testifies its global nature.

The ranking has been publishing since 2010. Its developers are aimed at drawing attrition of academic community to the resolution of ecological issues. HEIs from all over the world are evaluated according to 6 criteria. They are “Environment and HEI infrastructure”, “Energy efficiency and impact on climate change”, “Recycling”, “Equitable water management”, “Transport policy” and “Education”.

It should be noted that PSU was included in the GreenMetric Ranking alongside with such renowned HEIs as the University of California in Davis (the USA), the University of Nottingham (the UK), the University of Rochester (the USA), the University of Bremen (Germany), and Tel Aviv University (Israel).

25 universities from Russia took part in this league table. They include Saint Petersburg State University, Far Eastern Federal University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Voronezh State University, the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Astrakhan State University, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
