PSU entered top 40 of Webometrics Ranking Russian segment

 Penza State University occupied 3,123rd place among 10,000 leading universities of the world and 31st place among 57 Russian universities which entered the world ranking of transparency and research openness Webometrics TOP Universities by Google Scholar Citations.

Spanish laboratory Webometrics is one of the most authoritative researchers in the field of web rankings.

The global research, which the laboratory has conducted since last year – Ranking Web of Universities, has covered more than 20,000 universities all over the world. Having pointed out one of the segments, including only 10,000 universities, they have started a new ranking - Transparent ranking: TOP Universities by Google Scholar Citations, where the world universities assessment is based on analyzing citation of the authors – university staff in Google Scholar system.

Out of 1,000 Russian universities analyzed by Transparent ranking: TOP Universities by Google Scholar Citations, only 57 were able to enter the ranking. Penza State University is on the 31st place among them!

PSU is ahead of a number of leading Russian universities such as: Altai State University (3410th place), Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio-electronics (3639th place), Novosibirsk State Technical University (3671st place), St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (3747th place), Bauman Moscow State Technical University (3822nd place), Perm State University (4254th place), Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (4439th place), Tyumen State University (4838th place).

The high result achieved by the University demonstrates sustainable development of Penza State University and its recognition by international academic community.
