PSU hosted a video conference on issues of teaching the Russian Language and Literature in another cultural environment

On February, 18, a traditional video conference dedicated to problems of teaching the Russian Language and Literature in another cultural environment took place. It was attended by teachers of the Russian Language Department, Sotim Ulugzoda Tajik State Institute of Languages, and of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, Penza State University

S.M. Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, took part in the work of the conference. In his welcoming speech he emphasized the importance of such meetings for understanding between nations, for successful dialogue of cultures. He expressed his hope for expanding cooperation between the universities in the sphere of training language specialists, teachers of Russian and Literature.

In her welcoming speech L. Dudko, Candidate of Sciences, Head of Training centre of the Russian Language of Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Dushanbe, told about the work of Representative office of Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in Tajikistan.

The reports by the participant associate professors and senior lecturers L.Semenova, O. Esafyeva, E. Peskova, A. Borova, S. Kurbonosova, D. Yusufbekova, S. Kudratova raised the issues connected with the content of the training course in Russian literature for international language students, the problems of teaching literary texts in national groups and understanding lyrical text in another cultural environment.
