Irina Skorosova, master student at the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, Information Technologies and Electronics, Polytechnic Institute, Penza State University, is pursuing a 6-month scientific internship in the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany). She was awarded the Russian Federation President grant for study abroad. Professor Vladimir D. Krevchik, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, is a scientific advisor of the student in PSU.

PSU master student takes training and practice in Qubit laboratory KIT under the supervision of Professor Aleksei Ustinov. The laboratory investigates the phenomenon of superconductivity. On the ground of this phenomenon scientists from all over the world are creating qubit-based or quantum computer. The workers of the laboratory, in which Irina Skorosova undertakes scientific internship, are also engaged in these research activities.

“The internship is carried out in a challenging way. In addition to practice in the laboratory I manage to attend lectures and workshops. It is really cool! Every week scientists from different universities (not only from Germany) visit the institute academic conference, they make very interesting reports. It is an amazing thing to be a part of this!” Irina Skorosova emphasized.
