PSU representatives attend the 4th workshop of the HARMONY project

On March 28th – 30th, 2017 Sapienza University in Rome (Italy) hosted the 4th international meeting of the HARMONY - Development of approaches to harmonization of comprehensive internationalisation strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and Partner Countries – project.

33 HEIs representatives from all the nine Countries participating to the consortium joined the meeting in order to discuss the development of the project within its second year of implementation, and foreseen activities.

Penza State University was represented by Sergey Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Olga Meshcheryakova, Head of the International Relations Office, and Ekaterina Aleshina, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages.

Following the ceremony of signing the multilateral cooperation agreement, the 4th workshop focused on three topics:
•    state-of-the-art analysis of the Russian, Belarusian and Armenian Higher Education System, according to the information previously gathered, with a focus on the situation of the consortium Universities;
•    next steps to take towards designing the harmonised Strategic and Action Plans for internationalisation to be approved by local governments and to be implemented further;
•    training sessions, ran by Sapienza Officers, on several aspects of the internationalisation process: management, research, didactics and students.

Best practice, procedures, constraints, regulations, strategies, achievements and difficulties encountered were shown and discussed during these sessions.

The plans, procedures and outcomes of the meeting respected the principles of Erasmus+ Key Action 2:  Cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices that focused on enabling organisations to work together on sharing, developing and transferring best practices in education between different countries.
