Penza State University in cooperation with the University of Flensburg (Germany) completed the joint project “Literary Texts as Reading Motivation”. Over a period of 6 weeks PSU students in German Language and students of the University of Flensburg analysed the works of German and Russian authors (in the German language). They prepared joint creative works and assessed the results of group activity. Through videoconference carried out on May 24, 2017 German and Russian students exchanged their views and discussed the positive aspects of distant international projects. As the advantages they mentioned the possibility to practice language with native speakers, to dig into the authentic foreign language space, to study linguistic and cultural specific concepts and to develop foreign language and cross-cultural competences. The heads of the project Dr. Günter Rinke (Flensburg, Germany) and Tatyana Al. Razuvaeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages (PSU), commended the results and expressed their interest in implementing such projects in the future. Dr. Günter Rinke will take part in the V International Congress “Penza-Flensburg” which will take place in Penza State University on September 13 – 16, 2017. He will give lectures dedicated to the analysis of literary texts of German and Russian authors to the students of the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature. |
