Four PSU representatives took part in Russian-Chinese Youth Forum “Volga - Yangtze”21.06.2017 13:29
Russian – Chinese Youth Forum “Volga - Yangtze. Magnificent Anhui” took place from 7th to 17th of June. It was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the government of the Province of Anhui. 160 Russian students from the Volga Federal Region and 180 Chinese students from six regions of the Upper and Middle Yangtze took part in the Forum. Total number of participants including the staff was more than 400 people. The Penza Region was represented by 9 people, four of them are students of Penza State University. The aim of the event is to develop friendship of Russian and Chinese youth. The Forum delegates jointly took part in the opening ceremony, a cultural excursion around the southern province of Anhui and the city of Huangshan, the closing ceremony, together with five host universities of the province of Anhui. “We were heartily welcomed by the Department of Education of Anhui Province, by the City popular government of Hefei city, by the City popular government of Huangshan city, we were not only shown around and told about these cities, we were also shown the system of education in China and the main trends in youth policy. The event left a deep and positive impression on us and on the Chinese. We told them about Russia and Penza, about our national features and our university. The Forum was planned very well – there were joint events where we could work in teams with Chinese friends”, said PSU participants. The main programme was divided into several parts. On the first day the participants got acquainted with the general state and economic development of the Province of Anhui and listened to the lecture on general political situation in China and in Anhui. The students were able to visit the automobile corporation JAC Motors and took an express train on Chinese high-speed rail. The second day included a round-table of the youth forum, an excursion on “Education in the Province of Anhui”, participation in festivals in different universities of the Chinese province. The students attended state fire-proof laboratories, the Institute of researching advanced technologies and other high technological enterprises, which gave a view of development of high technologies in China. To acquaint the participants with Chinese culture and art they were shown the art of Chinese paper cuttings and national dances with a fan. They also visited the Museum of Anhui Province and had excursions in the Huangshan mountains, the village of Hongcun, Tea Museum of Tea. The students enjoyed wonderful landscapes of rivers and mountains of China. On the final day of the Forum, during the closing ceremony, Chinese and Russian students planted trees on the Alley of Friendship of Chinese and Russian Youth in Anhui University. Also there was a meeting of leaders and representatives of the Council second session on cooperation between the Volga Region and the Upper and Middle Yangtze regions. Ivan Belozertsev, the Governor of the Penza Region, also took part in the closing ceremony. |
