PSU is visited by the delegation from Shangrao, the Province of Jiangxi, China

On Monday, 19th of June, Penza State University welcomed the delegation from the city of Shangrao, the Province of Jiangxi, China.

The representatives of the Popular Government of Shangrao and the Rector of the Medical University visited the Penza Region to discuss with the regional government possible ways of cooperation in economic, cultural, educational and medical areas.

Being a successful educational and research centre not only of Penza State University, but also of the whole Penza Region, and in some medical developments and innovations even of the whole Russia, Medical Institute has become one of the platforms for negotiations of the two parties on healthcare issues. A.N. Mitroshin, Director of Medical Institute, PSU, and O.V. Kalmin, Head of Department “Human Anatomy”, Medical Institute, organized an excursion to the Institute museums, laboratories and lecture halls for the guests, in the course of which they demonstrated the biggest  part of material and technical base of the Institute. The Chinese guests appreciated the conditions created in PSU for studying and developing research work of medical students who are represented by many countries of the world.

In the course of negotiations with the Rector of Medical Institute and representatives of the popular government of the city of Shangrao, S.M. Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, discussed some forms of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two educational establishments, emphasizing that PSU is open for productive cooperation and exchange of experience with Chinese representatives, as China is the country whose medicine is considered unique, alternative and is positioned as the national wealth. One of the most important factors of successful  PSU internationalization in medical areas is the fact that the cooperation doesn’t require the knowledge of Russian: joint projects and research can be conducted in English. S.M. Vasin emphasized that PSU already has rich experience in international cooperation with other educational establishments of China in the spheres of economic sciences and pedagogical education.
