PSU master student took part in International Conference in Germany

Artem Voynov, Master student at the Department of Computer Engineering, Polytechnic Institute, Penza State University took part in international conference 15th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (IEEE INDIN 2017), which took place on 24-26July, 2017 in Emden, Germany.

The conference slogan «The Undergoing Industrial Informatics R-Evolution» reflects explosive development of industrial informatics. Not the last factor is a mass adoption of cyber-physical systems in industry. The aims of conference was exchange of ideas and practical experience, discussion about future prospects and innovative solutions in industrial informatics and its applications.

The Conference was attended by about 200 scientists from developed and developing countries of Europe, USA, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. The Conference was held within the framework of the 11 technical and 12 special sessions. More than 600 authors posted 195 reports (articles) in the Conference proceedings.

At the conference A.Voynov made a report on automatic system generation of functional block implementing man-machine-interface for distributed automation systems in electricity. Co-authors of the report were Professor V. Vyatkin and Chen-Wei Yang, graduate student, Technical University of Luleå (Sweden). Artem Voynov pursued a 6-month scientific internship at the Technical University of Luleå in 2016-2017 academic year. The colleges from Sweden supported the participation of the PSU student in the Conference.

The visit results in Germany are great for A.Voynov, - getting valuable experience in presentations at conferences worldwide and new knowledge for work on a master's thesis, advancing scientific relationships and contacts.
