5th HARMONY Meeting in Yerevan. Workshop on “Internationalization of Higher Education: Trends and Challenges” at Russian-Armenian University29.09.2017 14:29
On September 28, 2017 Russian-Armenian University hosted more than 60 experts on internationalization of higher education from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Greece, Spain and UK to discuss the current trends and challenges of internationalization of HE. During the Conference participants presented the results of the research conducted by Erasmus+ HARMONY project on the level of internationalization of higher education in Armenia, Belarus and Russia. Penza State University was represented by Olga Meshcheriakova, Head of International Cooperation Office and Sergei Ivanchin, Head of the Department of Social Adaptation and Culture work. In scope of the Workshop the Head of Foreign Relations Division of RA Ministry of Education and Science Ms. Angelia Hovhannisyan stated the fact that the process of internalization in different HEI-s of Armenia varies. “One of the strategic goals of the program is the partnership with the best foreign universities: exchanges, development of joint academic programs with double diplomas”. Penza State University and Russian-Armenian University agreed on exchanging bachelor or master degree students for one semester or more. The event was held in the framework of Erasmus + HARMONY (“Development of approaches to harmonization of comprehensive internationalization strategies in the field of higher education, science and innovation.”) project. The project is a partnership of 14 universities from Armenia, Belarus, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain and UK, as well as the Ministries of Education and Science of Armenia, Belarus and Russia.
