ERASMUS+ project participants complete their working visit to Weingarten

On September 26th – 28th, 2017 Olga P. Surina, Director of Belinsky Institute of Teacher Education, and Natalya An. Pavlova, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, attended the meeting devoted to the implementation of the European Union Grant on teacher education, youth and academic mobility development within ERASMUS+ SATE (School Adoption in Teacher Education) 1-DK01-KA203-022324. The meeting was held in Weingarten (Germany).

As the model of teaching practice “School Adoption in Teacher Education” is applied in all project countries, the representatives of European and Russian universities have a unique opportunity to define how such model can work in various conditions.

During the meeting, the partners aimed at developing more effective models of interaction between teachers and students within such school practice. Mentoring was considered as one of the most rewarding methods for knowledge transferring. This method is widespread in practice of training and adapting both trainees and young teachers.

In their statements, the representatives of the universities proposed a number of practical conclusions that should be taken into account for the development of mentoring in general. The meeting resulted in identifying the priority areas in the advancement of mentoring. These areas are scheduled to be implemented within the project of School Adoption.
