PSU Professor and indologist Tatyana Skorokhodova attends the 6th International Symposium at Jagiellonian University

On November 13th – 15th, 2017 Jagiellonian University (Poland) hosted the 6th International Krakow Religions Symposium called “Religion and Cultural Shifts: from Axial Age to (Post) Secular Age”.

The symposium brought together scientists and religious studies scholars from Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Germany, the UK, the USA, and Israel.

At the scientific forum, Penza State University was represented by Professor Tatyana Skorokhodova, indologist at the Department of Theory and Practice of Social Work.

The academic delivered the report “Axial Age Heritage in Religious Philosophy and Culture of the Bengal Renaissance”. This report was highly appreciated by the audience. In particular, the session moderator Richard Seaford (University of Exeter, the UK) described it as a conference sensation according to its content and the scope of materials.
