PSU hosts International Conference on Cross-Cultural Communication in the Modern World

On 15 December 2017 Penza State University hosted the VI International Scientific Conference of foreign students on Cross-Cultural Communication in the Modern World. The conference was opened Sergey Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. In his welcoming remarks, Sergey Vasin highlighted the significance of global communication and wide geographical distribution of the participants.

“The conference gathered the representatives of 22 states. They include Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Germany, Egypt, Yemen, India, Italy, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Morocco, Moldavia, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Estonia. Due to the considerable geographical scope, the national dialogue became boundless,” Sergey Vasin stressed.

“The conference panels were devoted to the issues of Russian image in foreigners’ minds, place of the Russian language in the world, socialisation of foreign students, world economy and international relations, foreign and Russian medicine, world and Russian history. This year about 200 individuals take part in the forum. One of the panels was initiated by our foreign students, which once again underscored their interest in the topics of the scientific conference,” Sergey Ivanchin, head of the Student Affairs Department at the International Education Office, noted.

The collection of scientific articles placed on the RINC database was published following the results of research conducted by foreign Bachelor, Master and postgraduate students from Penza State University, National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University (Russian Federation), European University of Flensburg (Germany), Vienna State University (Austria), and University of Salerno (Italy).

The 1st place diplomas were awarded to foreign students, such as Nemanja Vidic, Rakhim Dzhumabayev, Prachi Sinduria, Valeriya Turenko, Mara Folliero, and Polina Frolova.

The 2nd place diplomas were given to Sabur Beknazarov, Shaobin Lin, Georgy Mere, Kinalkumar Patel, Anastasiya Pozdnyakova, and Nuray Urmanayeva.

The 3rd place diplomas were obtained by Adzhar Tolgakhan, Kharita Bkhagat, Rachanabay Desale, Valeriya Streletskaya, Nataliya Filatova, and Sharafdzhon Kholmakhmadov

Azizi Mustafa, Rakhim Dzhumabayev, Sakaryavala Rakhimbhai, Mara Folliero, and Luiza Yakubova were awarded in the nomination “Authenticity of issues statement”.

Sabur Beknazarov, Vafi Abdelkhamid, Aziza Dzhumayeva, Mokhamad Akhmad, Valeriya Streletskaya, and Nataliya Filatova were conferred in the nomination “Public speaking”.

Kharita Bkhagat, Atadzhan Kazakov, Tatyana Mikhaylova, Sinduriya Prachi, Takhil Karim, Sharafdzho Kholmakhmadov, Shakir Khudayarov won in the nomination “Creative report presentation”.
