Penza State University and Lublin University of Technology have close ties within student and staff exchanges, which are expanding year by year. The Russian and Polish HEIs are the partners within Erasmus+ Programme between programme and partner countries. Elena Kiliakova, third-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Administration (Penza State University), managed to complete spring semester at the Faculty of Management (Lublin University of Technology) under Erasmus+. The study period lasted from February to June 2018. The academic programme was saturated with economics-oriented disciplines. The study plan included Stock Market Investments, Corporate Finance, Business Performance Management, Production Planning and Management, etc. “It was an invaluable experience to study under a different education system and a foreign language learning environment. It was challenging, but rewarding. As I see it, exchange semester helped me grow up,” Elena shared. “The last but not least was the fact that I made lots of friends from across the world. We went in for sports, travelled together, explored new cultures and so on. It was easy to plan weekend trips to Oslo, Budapest, Vienna, Copenhagen, Berlin, etc.” Additionally, the student noted that there is an endless amount of things to see and do in Lublin and thereabouts. “The city is an amazing, colorful and cozy place without crowds, where people can enjoy silence and calmness and visit historic sites and museums,” she said.
