Dmitry Drozdov, postgraduate student at the Department of Computer Engineering, Polytechnic Institute, Penza State University participated in the 16th International Conference of Industrial Informatics (INDIN 2018), which was held on 16th-20th July 2018 in Porto (Portugal) and sponsored by Industrial Electronics Society (IES) of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Dmitry Drozdov delivered a report «Adapting Software Design Patterns to Develop Reusable IEC 61499 Function Block Applications», which is dedicated to the adaptation of software design patterns in the development of distributed component-based control systems in industrial processes based on the international standard IEC 61499. The participation in the Conference was made possible by the support of Lulea University of Technology (LTU, Lulea, Sweden), where Dmitry is currently studying. In addition, this research was also supported by the European grant DAEDALUS. The research work was conducted under the supervision of Professor Valeriy Vyatkin, Doctor of Engineering Science (LTU), and Professor Victor N. Dubinin, Doctor of Engineering Science (PSU). "Dmitry is not the first time speaking at representative foreign conferences. This allows him to keep abreast of world achievements, to determine the most promising areas of research and to have a sufficient number of foreign publications with high citation indexes in Scopus and Web of Science; this is important for the preparation and defense of the thesis", - the research supervisor noted. |
