On November 16, an international beauty contest "Miss World. Folk Queen - 2018" took place. 9 girls from China, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Mongolia, India, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon and Armenia were fighting for the title of the beauty queen. The competition was organized by the Institute for International Cooperation and the Department of Student Affairs. During a month before the contest the girls developed business projects, participated in trainings, seminars and in a charitable event in the "Louis district", preparing creative performances, giving interviews, learning dances of the peoples of the world, and, of course, practicing a traditional defile. On the day of the contest, the participants surprised the audience with their talents: they danced, sang, performed poetry, painted pictures. Each participant tried to show the maximum of their abilities and to receive a well-deserved crown. Damir Saldayev, the Head of the International Education Office, stated: "In different countries, the understanding of attractiveness varies, but the combination of spiritual and outward features gives a general understanding of beauty. True beauty is understood without any words". Therefore, the nominations were distributed as follows: Miss Grace - Shokhradova Leyli (Turkmenistan); Two participants received special prizes. Li Wenzhu (China) received the nomination "Miss WDay", the best in the opinion of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the PSU was Saakanush Muradyan from Armenia. She got the title "Miss Sociability". The bronze of the competition was won by Prachi Patel from India, silver - by Leyli Shokhradova from Turkmenistan. The representative of Kyrgyzstan Ayym Kutmanova became the winner of the contest "Miss World. Folk Queen - 2018." On December 7, she will fight with representatives of other faculties and institutes for the title "Miss PSU - 2018". |
