PSU announced the winners of “Silver Lyre”

On 20th February VIII International Musical Competition Festival “Silver Lyre” came to its end. It was organized by the Department of “Music and Methods of Teaching Music”, Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Sciences, Institute of Teacher Education, PSU.

A.B. Tugarov, Professor, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Sciences, addressed the participants and guests of the festival at the closing ceremony which took place in the assembly hall of Building 11. “Let me congratulate you on the festival of music, creativity and talent”, emphasized Aleksandr Tugarov.

For several days the jury composed of the leading national and international cultural professionals estimated the skills of participants in nominations “Vocal performance” (categories: academic vocal, pop vocal, folk singing) and “Instrumental performance” (categories: pianoforte, folk instruments, symphonic orchestra instruments).

The awards were conferred to the best performers – diploma holders and laureates of the festival. The main intrigue of the competition was the announcement of the winners – holders of the festival Grand Prix. In 2019 two participants became its holders – Aleksandr Gubarkov, teacher at the Department of “Music and methods of teaching music”, and Kuoong Huangchjin (University of “Sookmyung”, philharmonic orchestra «Songpa National Philarmonic Orchestra», Seoul, South Korea).

After the closing ceremony there was a gala-concert with the brightest participants of “Silver Lyre”.
