Prospects of cooperation with the Lebanese Republic were discussed at PSU
On Friday, August 5, 2021, Penza State University hosted a meeting between Rector Aleksandr Guliakov and the Minister of Health of the Lebanese Republic Hamad Hassan.
In a conversation with the Minister, the PSU Rector stressed the importance of joint international projects in the field of higher education and noted that in 2015-2019 Penza State University signed a number of cooperation agreements with Lebanese partner universities. A lot of work on international cooperation was carried out bilaterally.
In particular, within the framework of the agreement with the National Arab-Russian Association in April 2019, the first internship of Penza journalist students was organized at information and educational organizations of the Lebanese Republic.
In July 2019, ten students of the Faculty of General Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical Institute had their first internship at the Lebanese-French hospital in the city of Beqaa.
The Russian-Arab Cultural Center has been organized at PSU. Communicating, Russian students learn Arabic, and Arabic students learn Russian.
“At the moment, 100 people from the Lebanese Republic are studying at different faculties of PSU. Most of them are students of the Medical Institute, who are mastering general medicine and dentistry. In 2021, seven representatives of Lebanon received diplomas from the Medical Institute. Students from Lebanon are traditionally distinguished by a responsible approach to studying - this makes us very happy,” emphasized the Rector.
“I am proud to be a graduate of the Russian university, and I want to note that I have only the best memories of studying in your country - the teachers made good specialists out of students. If there is training in Russia, especially in Penza, and if we do our best, it will mean that good specialists will work in our hospitals,” Hamad Hassan outlined the prospects for cooperation.
