For the first time in the history of Penza State University entry in the Erasmus+ Programme under the call Jean Monnet Actions in the field of Higher Education Teaching and Research (since 2015), the projects for Jean Monnet Module were supported.

In 2021, 782 applications from various countries were submitted to this call. At once two PSU projects reached the finals and received grant support from the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture of the European Commission (Brussels, Belgium).

The results of the call are announced on the website of the European Commission.

We congratulate the team of the project Protection of Human Rights within and across the European Union (ProEU) Gleb Sintsov (project manager), Evgenii Bitiutskii and Danil Feoktistov.

We congratulate the team of the project Social Security Law in the European Union (EUSOSEL) Anna Aleksandrova (project manager) and Anastasiia Ryzhova.

The projects will be implemented from 1 February 2022 to 31 January 2025. The amount of each grant is 18,500 euro.

Within the projects it is planned to:
– develop and teach innovative modules on European Union law to students of the Institute of Law;
– design and deliver courses to non-law students;
– hold events for schoolchildren;
– design and deliver professional training courses for lawyers, civil servants and others;
– research on comparative law;
– arrange conferences and forums.

It should be especially noted that an important criterion for evaluating applications under the call Jean Monnet Actions is not only the quality of the application, but also the experience and expertise of the project team, as they should have a solid scientific, educational and public background within the project focus.

The preparation of applications for the call Jean Monnet Actions and the implementation of supported projects are coordinated and organised by the International Projects Department (Head of the department – Tatiana Razuvaeva, e-mail: inffice@pnzgu.ru). A new call for projects has now been announced, the application deadline is 1 March 2022.
