International students of Penza State University took part in the festive procession of Penza districts as part of the university column in honour of the City Day and the Day of Russia. The two holidays were celebrated at once in our region on Sunday, June 12. In total, PSU international students represented 33 countries. With flags and national costumes, young people from different countries created a special holiday mood: Penza citizens greeted the column of international students with applause. “Now about 2,500 foreign students from 45 countries of the world are studying at our university. Each of them has their own mentality, their own traditions and customs. But despite being so different, they were united by Russia,” emphasized Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, who was present at the celebration. At the end of the procession, the students visited various venues: book and dance festivals, concerts of Penza performers, a parade of orchestras, various exhibitions of products made by folk art craftsmen and, of course, enjoyed an air show performed by the Swifts aerobatic team.
