PSU hosted the VII Meeting of the International Alumni Club

On Wednesday, June 15, a round table "Mechanisms for strengthening ties between international alumni and PSU" was held at Penza State University as part of the VII meeting of the International Alumni Club.

Every year, more than 300 international highly qualified specialists graduate from Penza State University; they are in demand not only in the Russian Federation, but also in other countries. The International Alumni Club of PSU is aimed at improving international relations and is an instrument of public diplomacy, within the framework of which forums, round tables, and meetings are held.

In 2022, 333 students from 25 countries of the world are graduating from Penza State University in 36 study fields. 21 graduates from 16 countries of the world took part in the meeting of the Club: India, Yemen, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Ghana, Colombia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Iraq, Vietnam, Lebanon, Algeria, Turkey and Mongolia.

In his welcoming speech, Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, congratulated the students on their successful graduation from the university and wished them creative fulfillment: “Set bold goals, bring them to life, and don't forget your alma mater. We are always glad to see you!”

The graduates-2022 expressed their gratitude to the university for the years spent within its walls: “PSU gave me not only the happiest memories, but also close friends, life experience, personal growth, and, of course, knowledge! I hope that I will successfully pass the state exams, get a diploma and send its photo to my parents,” said Murun Ganbaatar, “Best International Student of the Year”, a graduate of the Faculty of General Medicine of the Medical Institute. According to a good tradition, graduates of past years joined the Club meeting through the ZOOM platform. In their address to the current graduates, they wished the students not to forget their university and carefully keep the memories of it and all the knowledge gained during the years of study.

As a result of the meeting, a resolution was approved that determines further steps to develop the Club and strengthen ties between international alumni and PSU. Graduates received letters of appreciation from the Rector of the University, certificates and badges confirming membership in the International Alumni Club, as well as commemorative postcards.
