Penza State University awarded specialist diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry from Arab countries
On Friday, August 26, the Graduation Ceremony for students from Arab countries took place at Penza State University. In total, 27 graduates - now dentists - from Egypt, Algeria, Yemen and Lebanon received a document on higher professional education, two of whom graduated from the university with honours. This graduation was the second - a year ago, in 2021, 40 Arab students graduated from PSU.
The event was attended by guests of honour: Aleksandr Guliakov, PSU Rector, Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs; Larisa Zyulkina, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical Institute; Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office; Bashir Samaha, General Director of the National Arab-Russian Federation, General Partner of PSU; Adel Ali Omar Maqbol, Chairman of the International Students Association of the Penza Region.
In his congratulatory speech, Rector of the University Aleksandr Guliakov wished success to the graduates:
“I would like to ask you to never stop when you have achieved something. Despite the fact that today you have received a diploma of higher education - a document that gives you the right to conduct professional activities - you must constantly strive for the best and improve yourself!”
“I would like to express special words of gratitude to your parents for the trust they have placed in choosing Penza State University as an educational institution for their children. I am sure that no matter how much time passes, you, dear graduates, will always remember your teachers, employees of the Institute of International Cooperation, the university administration, active student life and, of course, your friends with special trepidation and gratitude,” said Vice-Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov.
The university administration expressed its gratitude to the general partner of our university - Dr. Bashir Samaha - and the National Arab-Russian Association headed by him for the invaluable support that they have provided and continue to provide to Arab students studying at Penza State University. Dr. Bashir, in turn, addressed the administration and the leadership of the Medical Institute and noted the high level of educational and adaptation work at the university with students who came to Penza for higher education.
At the end of the award ceremony, the graduates traditionally took the doctor's oath.
