Aliazgar Zikrov, a student of the Institute of International Cooperation, took part in the second round of the 5th Reading Contest “Words are like wings...”, which was held at the Literary Museum on Tuesday, September 20.

The first round was held in absentia - the participants presented their work in video format. At this stage, Penza State University was represented by Aliazgar Zikrov from Tajikistan and Valid Alshraedeh from Jordan. Only 30 contestants passed to the second stage. Among them was Aliazgar Zikrov.

According to the rules of the second round, the contestants were offered to sight-read poetic or prose passages prepared by the organizers. So, for example, the participants tried to expressively convey to the audience the poems by Eduard Asadov, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Rasul Gamzatov, Sergei Mikhalkov, fragments of the works of the Penza region writer Aleksandr Kuprin.

On the results of the second round, Aliazgar reached the final of the contest. Roman Petrov, actor of the Penza Regional Puppet Theater "Doll's House”, became his mentor. Under his guidance, the PSU student will prepare for the final of the contest, which will be held on December 5, 2022 on the Small Stage of the Regional Drama Theatre. 12 finalists will compete for the victory and the title of the best reader.
