The exhibition "Education and Science in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan" is annually organized by the Educational and Training Center "Gaudeamus" in Uralsk (Republic of Kazakhstan). This year it took place on December 3-4, 2022. More than 25 universities from Russia took part in the exhibition, from such cities as: Samara, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Penza and from the Republic of Kazakhstan (Alma-Ata, Turkestan, Atyrau). Penza State University was represented by: Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office of the Institute of International Cooperation; Igor Kamardin, Director of the Center for Addmission and Pre-University Training. “Each university made a presentation in front of high school students and their parents, and after the presentations, future applicants approached the exhibition tables of the university they liked for detailed questions on study fields and entrance examinations. The exhibition table of PSU aroused great interest on the part of Kazakh applicants,” Igor Kamardin noted. Within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations were held on cooperation with the management of the Gaudeamus Center. Farida Yakubovna Antipova, General Director of the Center, said that the center has been successfully working for 14 years in the field of preparing applicants for admission to Kazakhstani and Russian universities. Now more than 400 high school students are undergoing pre-university training at the center. In turn, representatives of PSU informed that at the moment over 20,000 Russian students and 2,500 international students from 46 countries of the world are studying at the university, and in 2023 our university will celebrate its 80th anniversary. “It should be noted that mutually beneficial cooperation between PSU and the Gaudeamus Center will allow organizing high-quality career guidance and pre-university training among Kazakh applicants for admission to our university technical, pedagogical and medical study fields. This joint activity will help increase the number of students from the Republic of Kazakhstan at PSU ”, summed up Sergey Ivanchin. Фотографии (5)
