A delegation from India arrived at Penza State University on an official visit. The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the conditions of study of Indian students at the university, as well as to discuss the strategy of career guidance.

The delegation was headed by the President of the Association of Parents of Indian Medical Students Studying at PSU, Pradipsinh Solanki, who began his visit to Penza State University with a visit to the student residence hall, as well as meetings with Indian students.

Pradipsinh Solanki drew particular attention of first-year students to the idea how important it is to study Russian, respect Russian legislation and the university charter, maintain discipline and take class attendance seriously. The topic of high-quality preparation for the subsequent screening test in India to confirm the required level of medical education was touched upon with future graduates.

According to the programme of the visit, several meetings were held: with Rector Aleksandr Guliakov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov and staff of the Institute of International Cooperation.

The parties, first of all, discussed successful mechanisms for attracting Indian students to study at Penza State University and what career guidance work should be based on in modern realities.

Aleksandr Guliakov emphasized that 2023 is an anniversary year not only for Penza State University, but also for cooperation between PSU and the Chevalier Group: “In 2013, it was not easy for us to start such a big task – training specialists from our friendly India. This was the first experience of recruiting Indian citizens to study at the Medical Institute. It was necessary to think through all the subtleties of life, education, living, adaptation, take into account the traditions of the Indian people in Russia. It was especially important to organize the educational process at a decent level so that Indian students could successfully master the educational programme. I believe that with the joint efforts of the director of the Chevalier Group, Dr. Yuvraaj Solanki, we managed to do this!”

Also during the meeting, questions were raised about the accommodation and adaptation of Indian students. “PSU students from India demonstrate not only excellent academic performance, but also actively participate in social, cultural and sports events organized at the university and regional levels,” said Gleb Sintsov.

“Parents of students who came from India highly appreciate the activities of Penza State University in general and the Institute of International Cooperation in particular. Penza is a priority for us. The results achieved show the effectiveness of cooperation between the Chevalier Group and Penza State University. We express our gratitude for the attention and support that the leadership of PSU, represented by the Rector, provides to our compatriots who have chosen Penza as a place for education. Thanks to you, our children are studying and developing in a warm and friendly atmosphere,” said Pradipsinh Solanki.

The Indian delegation will stay in Penza until mid-March. During this period, Pradipsinh Solanki intends to visit the institutions of healthcare, education and culture of the city of Penza.
