On Friday, March 10, Penza State University, after a three-year absence, held a festival of KVN teams "Rector's Cup - 2023". Eight teams representing institutes and faculties of the university competed for the right to be called the most cheerful and witty.

The teams were:
— «Girls from studies» (Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Sciences);
— «International team» (Institute of International Cooperation);
— «Crème de la crème of the IEA» (Institute of Economics and Administration);
— «Building 5» (Institute of Law);
— «Belinsky’s girlfriends» (Faculty of History, Languages and Literature);
— « Kireeshki » (Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport);
— «Great team of FITE» (Faculty of Information Technologies and Electronics);
— « FCE Team» (Faculty of Computer Engineering).

Vitaly Lukin, chairman of the trade union committee of PSU students; Vladimir Shmarev, participant of the Higher League from the KVN team "Sura", author, screenwriter and presenter; Valentin Bulgakov, participant of the Higher League from the KVN team "City of Python"; Marina Korshunova, methodologist of the PSU Culture Center, project administrator of the KVN movement of the Penza region, and Mikhail Kichatov, head of the KVN movement of the Penza region and the PSU KVN studio assessed the most creative students’ humour.

The teams participated in two contests: a classic greeting and a video contest on the topic "It’s fuuny and that's it."

According to the results of the game, the places were distributed as follows: the KVN team “Girls from studies” became the holder of bronze medals, the KVN team “FCE Team” won the silver of the festival. The team of the Institute of International Cooperation "International Team" shared the championship with the KVN team "Great Team of FITE".

“Thanks to participation in various festivals, we already feel confident on the stage and really get only pleasure from performances, and the championship is a nice bonus!” the “International team” shared their impressions.
