11 international students from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Morocco compete for the title of the best international student. All of them are participants of the PSU Student of the Year Award.

Competitive tests started on April 21: the nominees took part in the project "Lessons of Friendship" - an interactive and educational meeting of international students of Penza State University with schoolchildren of the city. The project was implemented at Penza Regional Library for Children and Youth.

“The project “Lessons of Friendship” has been implemented for more than 6 years. This is a great opportunity not only to tell Penza schoolchildren about the traditions of other countries, but also to bring together value orientations through the development of mutual interests and joint affairs, to provide an opportunity to learn intercultural dialogue,” said Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

On Thursday, April 27, the contestants wrote a Russian language test, which is also traditional for the nomination. Within the framework of the Award, the educational and social activities of students are evaluated. The final test for the participants will be the presentation of projects at  the Volga region educational camp for international students POLIS, which will be held from May 19 to 22 and will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Penza State University.
