PSU international students of linguistics received diplomas of higher education
PSU held a graduation ceremony for students of linguistics of the Institute of International Cooperation.
International students from different countries of the world come to PSU to get an education in the field of study “Linguistics. Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication” (bachelor’s degree) and “Linguistics. Russian as a Foreign Language” (master's degree). This year, students from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Turkmenistan received diplomas, including diplomas with honors. The students who took an active part in the scientific, creative and sports life of the university were awarded letters of appreciation.
At the ceremony, Prof. Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Director of the Institute of International Cooperation, Doctor of Law, delivered a welcoming speech to the graduates, in which he emphasized the important role of the Russian language in the modern world and wished the students success in their professional activities.
Olga Barabash, acting Head of the Department “Russian as a Foreign Language”, Candidate of Philological Sciences, addressed the graduates, “Dear students! Your profession, your education forever connected you with Russia, with the Russian language and Russian culture. So let your choice help you move forward, develop, achieve new heights! Be brave, healthy, happy! And don't forget PSU!”
Under the guidance of Irina Krylova, Associate Professor of the Department “Russian as a Foreign Language”, Candidate of Philological Sciences, the graduates prepared a small concert for the guests of the holiday, they read poetry and sang a song in Russian, thanked the teachers for their work and support.
The teachers of the Department “Russian as a Foreign Languages” presented their wishes and parting words to the graduates.
