From September 18 to 25, 2023, a delegation from Penza State University led by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov visited educational institutions in China at the official invitation of PSU partner Wang Tao, General Director of the Beijing Bridge Cultural Exchange Company. The delegation included: Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs; Olga Surina, Director of the Institute of Teacher Education; Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office.

The PSU delegation visited Gannan Normal University in the city of Ganzhou and was welcomed by GNU Rector, Chen Ivan, who conveyed words of gratitude to PSU Rector, Aleksandr Guliakov, for the successful implementation of the joint bachelor’s degree educational programme “Pedagogical Education. Music".  In turn, Gleb Sintsov informed that PSU is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and conveyed Rector’s invitation to visit our university. During the visit, specialized meetings were conducted. A meeting with Chinese students was held at the Institute of Music, at which Olga Surina spoke about the education and life of Chinese students at PSU, who are taking in a joint educational programme, as well as about the teaching staff and material and technical equipment.  At the Institute of Fine Arts and Design, the PSU delegation was shown a museum in which the works of teachers and students were presented, and at a working meeting Olga Surina presented the bachelor’s degree programme “Pedagogical Education. Fine Arts" and the master's degree programme "Pedagogical  Education. Artistic and Aesthetic Education." At the Institute of Economics and Management, Sergey Ivanchin presented the master’s degree programme “International Economics and Business,” which is implemented at our university for Chinese students in English. At the Institute of Physical Education, Gleb Sintsov presented the Institute of Sport and Physical Training of PSU, and also spoke about training programmes, outstanding athletes - students and graduates. The PSU delegation visited the National Center for Industrial Design, where PSU students undergo practical training in design art.

“The cooperation between PSU and Gannan Normal University has been successfully carried out on the joint bachelor’s degree educational programme “Pedagogical Education. Music" since 2018, and we agreed with our colleagues to increase results, expand cooperation in other areas, and invited them to visit our university,” commented Gleb Sintsov.

The PSU delegation also visited Lianyungang Normal College, where LNC Rector Yang Hao conveyed words of gratitude to PSU Rector Aleksandr Guliakov for the long-term fruitful cooperation. At a working meeting with Vice-Rector for International Affairs Wang Busin, members of the PSU delegation presented the bachelor’s degree  programmes “Pedagogical Education. Music", "Pedagogical education. Fine arts", "Pedagogical education. Physical education", "Psychological and pedagogical education", "Psychology", "Linguistics", "Preschool education". The creation of a center for studying the Chinese language at PSU and the exchange of teachers were discussed. The PSU delegation was given a tour of the university campus, halls of residence, sports facilities, places of recreation and food for students.

“Lianyungang Normal College is a dynamically developing educational institution in Jiangsu province, which in the near future will receive a license to implement bachelor’s degree programmes, which gives us the opportunity to work on joint educational programs right now,” commented Gleb Sintsov.
