PSU holds an online meeting with Universiapolis International University of Agadir (Morocco)

On Wednesday, December 13, an online meeting between Penza State University and Universiapolis International University of Agadir (Morocco) took place.

The event was organized following the visit of the PSU delegation to Universiapolis International University of Agadir in October this year, and also as part of the admission campaign in Morocco with the assistance of PSU partner, Chairman of the International Students Association of the Penza Region, Adel Maqbol.

Penza State University was represented by: Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs; Viktor Mekhanov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Vitaly Solovyov, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department; Gennady Kozlov, Director of the Polytechnic Institute; Lyudmila Fionova, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering; Sergei Kireev, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport; Sergei Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office of the Institute of International Cooperation; Tatiana Razuvaeva, Head of the International Projects Department of the Institute of International Cooperation; Yuri Zheleznyak, Assistant Vice-Rector for International Affairs; Maksim Mitrokhin, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; Andrey Borisov, translator from French.

The Moroccan side was represented by: Dr. Ilyas Majdouline, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs - Director of the Polytechnic Institute, and Ahmed Fouad, representative of the partner organization.

“Currently, 2,800 international students from 48 countries are studying at PSU, of which more than 200 are Moroccan students. In addition, this year we opened a new programme in English “Informatics and Computer Engineering” for Moroccan applicants. Morocco is a promising area for us, we are interested in developing relations,” Gleb Sintsov opened the meeting.

Universiapolis International University of Agadir was founded in 1989, and in 2004 the Polytechnic institute was formed as part of the university. To date, 1,635 students are studying at the institute, of which 179 are international students from 15 African countries. The main areas of training at the Polytechnic Institute are: mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, food engineering, electrical power engineering, civil engineering, electronics, computer science and cybernetics, biomedical engineering.

Gennady Kozlov made a presentation of the Polytechnic Institute of PSU. He presented in detail the faculties and areas of bachelor's and master's degree programmes.

“Given the wide range of educational programmes in engineering areas at PSU, we see great prospects for cooperation with Universiapolis International University of Agadir,” emphasized Gennady Kozlov.

The parties agreed to determine areas of cooperation and formulate proposals. A series of subsequent working meetings are planned to discuss joint educational programmes and research in more detail.
