Institute of Teacher Education of PSU is planning to develop cooperation with Anshun Normal University (China)

On Monday, January 15, the Institute of Teacher Education of Penza State University held an online meeting with the management and teachers of Anshun Normal University.

An agreement to hold this meeting was reached during a visit of a delegation from Penza State University to China at the invitation of the director of the Beijing Bridge Cultural Exchange company, Wang Tao.

At the meeting, Penza State University was represented by: Vice-Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov, Director of the Institute of Teacher Education, Olga Surina, Head of the Department of Fine Art and Culture Studies Lyudmila Meshkova, Head of the International Education Office Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Projects Department Tatiana Razuvaeva.

Anshun Normal University was represented by: Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ying Hongmin, Director of the Institute of Arts Luo Wendi, Head of the Department of International Exchanges and Cooperation Qu Jianxing.

In addition, the meeting was attended by partners of Penza State University: Wang Tao, Director of the Beijing Bridge Cultural Exchange company, and Wu Yajing, Manager of the International Educational Programme Department.

Vice-Rector for International Affairs of PSU Gleb Sintsov addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming speech: “Once again we confirm that partners from the People’s Republic of China have occupied a special place among international partners for many years. We already have experience of a successfully implemented educational programme with one of the universities in China. We are planning to discuss with Anshun University the opening of a joint bachelor’s degree educational programme “Teacher Education”, course in “Fine Arts”. We hope that this project will be successfully implemented in the future.”

Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ying Hongmin introduced Anshun Normal University: “Anshun Normal University was founded in 1938 and is located in Anshun City, Guizhou Province. Anshun City is located in the Wujiang River area, part of the Yangtze River system. Currently, the university has 16 institutes, 4 educational and research departments, 8 educational and research auxiliary institutions. The Institute of Fine Arts was founded in 1995, it has more than 750 students and an administrative and teaching staff of 62 employees.”

Olga Surina, Director of the Institute of Teacher Education, told her colleagues from Anshun Normal University about the educational programme and staffing of the Department of Fine Art and Culture Studies.

The meeting ended with words of gratitude for the meeting. The participants agreed to begin work on developing the joint educational programme and preparing an application to the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for approval of the opening of a new programme. Both sides expressed confidence in the further successful development of cooperation between Penza State University and Anshun Normal University.
