Tuitu Hemza wins International Olympiad in Russian “Russian Language. Culture. Communication”
Tuitu Hemza, a student of “Russian as a Foreign Language” in 45.03.02 Linguistics “Theory and Practice of Cross-Cultural Communication” (academic group 20ИЛК1), became a winner of International Olympiad in Russian “Russian Language. Culture. Communication”.
The Olympiad was held from December 10, 2023 to March 1, 2024 at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University with participating departments of the Institute of Philology, Mass Information and Psychology.
The Olympiad consisted of two stages. The selection stage was held online from December 10, 2023 to February 10, 2024. The participants had to write an essay on one of the topics dedicated to the Russian Language, languages of the world, correlation between language and culture. Tuitu Hemza presented an essay called “Russian is extremely rich, flexible and vivid (V.G. Belinsky)”. The final stage was held in the format of videoconferences from February, 1 to March, 1, 2024 and included a report on the topic of the essay and answers to the jury’s questions (prepared and improvised speech).
