Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Vladimir Simagin, Vice-Rector for Graduate Affairs and Employment, visited the city of Bishkek from April 15 to 18 at the invitation of PSU partner, General Director of Eminur Asia LLC Nuriya Turdakunova.

The programme of the visit for the management of PSU was intense. Thus, as part of the visit, the vice-rectors took part in the grand opening of the PSU Distance Education Center at the Lomonosov School.

“It should be noted that Russian culture is respected in Kyrgyzstan, and the Russian language is the language of education. The opening of the center is the result of our long-term cooperation in the field of training highly qualified specialists. Here applicants will be able to take pre-university training courses for admission to PSU. We wish prosperity to the newly opened center!”, said Gleb Sintsov in his welcoming speech.

The guests from Penza State University were introduced to the material and technical base during a sightseeing tour of the school, and were invited to attend some open lessons.

“This center will help schoolchildren from all regions of Kyrgyzstan obtain a high-quality base for studying at Russian universities in natural sciences, technology and the humanities. We are grateful to PSU for taking the initiative and establishing this center at our school,” noted Nuriya Turdakunova.

“After graduating from PSU, our graduates are in demand specialists in the labor market both in Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Already in senior years, students can reinforce their theoretical knowledge in practice and develop their professional competences through various kinds of internships, as well as full-time employment in their free time,” said Vladimir Simagin.

During the visit, the vice-rectors were also invited to the radio station “SPUTNIK.KG”, where they presented Penza State University and highlighted student opportunities in terms of training, accommodation and cultural events.

“Scheduled meetings with university partners regarding the recruitment of applicants are always a good tool for ensuring PSU’s recognition and relevance in the international academic space. Communication with applicants is important not only within your region. Thus, future graduates of foreign schools receive all the information they are interested in first-hand. The fear of the unknown - a new country and a new city, a new stage in their life - disappears,” summed up Gleb Sintsov.
