PSU launched competitive tests for International Student of the Year Award
Six international students from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Lebanon and Sudan are competing for the title of the best international student. All of them are participants in the PSU “Students of the Year” Award.
The competitive tests started on April 23: the nominees took part in the “Lessons of Friendship” project, which an interactive and educational meeting between PSU international students and city schoolchildren. The project was implemented at Penza Regional Library for Children and Youth. “The project “Lessons of Friendship” has been implemented for more than six years. This is an excellent opportunity not only to tell Penza schoolchildren about the traditions of other countries, but also to bring closer value orientations through the development of mutual interests and joint affairs, and provide an opportunity to learn intercultural dialogue,” said Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.
Contestants will also be tested in the Russian language, which is traditional for the nomination. The Award evaluates the educational and social activities of students. The final test for the participants will be the defense of projects within the framework of the “Laboratory of Student Initiatives”.
