Graduates from India became certified general practitioners - on July 16, a graduation ceremony was held at Penza State University.

This academic year has become an anniversary year for our university - the international activities of Penza State University have turned 35. Among the first international students were young people from India who came to enroll in engineering programmes. And in 2013, for the first time, the Medical Institute opened its doors to the first Indian medical students - 78 applicants came to Penza to enroll in the English-language programme.

In 2024 Penza State University graduates Indian medical students for the sixth time. And this year set a record: 102 graduates of the Faculty of General Medicine received higher education diplomas. Over the years of studying at Penza State University, not only did they gain valuable knowledge and became real specialists, but also got acquainted with Russian culture, traveled around Russian cities and made new friends.

In his welcoming speech, PSU Rector Aleksandr Guliakov congratulated yesterday’s students on their successful graduation from the university: “You studied here with us for 6 years and, I hope, you received solid, worthy knowledge. And now the moment has come when you will receive diplomas confirming your qualifications. The medical profession is considered to be the most conscientious and noble in the whole world because people trust you with their health and their lives. And I am sure that everything will work out for you in your profession, you will successfully confirm your diplomas in India and begin your medical practice. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to study the issue of automatic recognition of our diplomas in your country. And I think that if the two leaders agree, then this issue will be resolved. I would like to congratulate the parents of our graduates, who worried about their children, created all the necessary conditions and, of course, are glad that you successfully graduated from our university. We don’t want to part with you, we will miss you. But you should know that the doors of our university are always open for you! Don’t forget Penza State University and the years you spent here!”
