Students of Penza State University took several prizes in the III International student online conference in English “21ST CENTURY MEDICINE: TRADITIONS, INNOVATIONS, NEW PRIORITIES”.

The conference was organized by Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky. Its goal is to create conditions for improving the quality of professional training for students of medical and pharmaceutical universities, to increase motivation to master a foreign language as a tool of professional communication, and also to develop the cognitive skills of students’ active and creative potential.

Tirth Shelak, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of General Medicine at the Medical Institute, was awarded a II degree diploma in section No. 3 “Health Conditions and Diseases”. He presented the scientific report “Impact of COVID-19 on the occurrence of hyperglycaemia and diabetes.” It should be noted that Tirth actively participates in the work of the Student Research Club of the Medical Institute and shows interest in research work. 

In section No. 5 “Student Health Issues”, PSU students received III degree diplomas. Patil Deeptesh and Patel Kheni, 2nd year students of the Faculty of General Medicine of the Medical Institute, prepared a scientific report “The influence of sport activities on the psycho-emotional state and stress level of students.”

“I would like to thank the organizers of the conference for the opportunity to express ourselves, for the clear rules of participation and friendly attitude towards students. This was our first research work,” said Patil Deeptesh.

“I believe that team games, dancing and other physical activities are very helpful in coping with learning difficulties and adapting to new living conditions, especially in the 1st year,” says Patel Heni.

Scientific supervisors of the students are Nadezhda Mikulyak, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Human Physiology, and Maria Morozova, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Human Physiology.
