On Tuesday, August 27, Penza State University held a graduation ceremony for PSU dental students from Arab countries. A total of 44 graduates received diplomas, including three excellent students, from Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Algeria. All students studied at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical Institute for five years using an intermediary language. The event was attended by honorary guests: Rector Aleksandr Guliakov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov, Director of the Medical Institute Aleksandr Mitroshin, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Larisa Zyulkina, as well as the graduates' parents. In his welcoming speech, Aleksandr Guliakov noted the significance of the moment and wished the graduates success: "Today is a significant and at the same time a bit sad day - you will receive long-awaited diplomas of higher medical education and leave the walls of your alma mater. I am sure that you have a great future ahead of you and you will become true professionals. This is a holiday not only for you, but also for your parents, who invested the best in their children. Congratulations on receiving your diplomas! Good luck and do not forget your university." The graduates were congratulated by the Director of the Medical Institute Aleksandr Mitroshin, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Larisa Zyulkina, and the Chairperson of the International Students Association of the Penza Region Adel Maqbol.
