Pre-University Training Office of the Institute of International Cooperation holds the intellectual quiz "Battle of Minds"

On February 25, the Pre-University Training Office of the Institute of International Cooperation held the intellectual quiz "Battle of Minds". International students were tested on their knowledge of the natural and exact sciences. 

Five teams competed for the title of experts. The intrigue remained until the final round. According to the results of the quiz, the team of 24ПО2 group won.

Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, said that pre-university training involves foreign citizens studying not only the Russian language and culture, but also general education subjects such as mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and others. 

“The purpose of studying general education subjects is not so much mastering the subject itself, but rather mastering scientific terminology in Russian and its application in the educational environment. Foreign citizens who take the pre-university training course already have a certain level of education necessary for further education at the university. Therefore, the teachers of the Pre-University Training Office aim at creating conditions for their successful integration into the Russian educational space. And organizing such events is an excellent way to increase the students’ motivation", said Gleb Sintsov.
