Penza State University expands cooperation with Chinese partners

On April 16, as part of an online meeting, PSU signed an agreement on implementing a joint educational project to train bachelors in the sdudy field of "Linguistics" within the course "Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication" with Hunan Vocational College of Foreign Languages.

At the meeting, Penza State University was represented by Dmitriy Artamonov, First Vice-Rector; Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office; Olga Barabash, Acting Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language; and Tatiana Razuvaeva, Head of the International Projects Department. From Hunan Vocational College of Foreign Languages, the meeting was attended by Rector Yan Guohua, Executive Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education Xie Li, Dean of the Faculty of Western Languages Liu Jinming, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Department Li Leilei, Russian language teacher Zhao Min, Secretary of the International Exchange Department Zhang Chenxin.

During the meeting, the rector of Hunan Vocational College of Foreign Languages, Yan Guohua, delivered a welcoming speech, in which he noted the importance of developing cooperation with Penza State University. The first vice-rector of PSU, Dmitriy Artamonov, returned the greeting, emphasizing that partners from the People's Republic of China have occupied a special place in the process of PSU internationalization for many years. He also drew attention to the fact that this meeting and the signing of the agreement became possible thanks to the coordination activities of the Beijing Bridge Cultural Exchange company and its director, Wang Tao.

Olga Barabash, Acting Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, introduced the participants of the meeting to the specifics of implementing the educational process within the framework of the bachelor's degree programme in the field of "Linguistics" within the course "Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication".

The meeting ended with the ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement, which, in the opinion of both parties, will become the start of sustainable and successful joint work on training highly qualified specialists from among Chinese students.
